Who are you?
Hi, I’m Clare, I’m an illustrator based in Byron Bay, Australia. I create expressive illustrations centered around character, with a love of detail, humour and personality. I’m a surfer, an animal lover and a fashion designer on the side.

What do you make?
I work across digital illustration and watercolour, creating artwork for children’s books, editorial, apparel, surface pattern and other projects that need a strong visual story.

What is your style?
Lively, detailed and dynamic. I move between two worlds, raw, loose pencil work with layered washes in a limited colour palette, and bold designs defined by clean outlines, solid colour fields and striking iconography or storytelling.

What is it like to work with you?
I care about delivering the very best work I can do. I pay attention to the brief, communicate clearly throughout the process and bring curiosity and enthusiasm to every project. My goal is to make the creative process feel collaborative, considered and enjoyable for everyone involved.

What kinds of projects do you love?
I’m especially drawn to projects that combine humour and heart, explore emotions and the human experience, or spark curiosity and self discovery. I love creating stories and illustrations that inspire wonder and respect for the natural world, or carry a hidden message.
