Hi, I’m Clare! I’m an illustrator based in the leisure capital of Australia, aka Byron Bay. I get to play hard here, but I work harder (so I can be an artist in this overpriced slice of paradise!).

For me, illustration is where I find joy, challenge and inspiration. It’s part of living a full life; it’s where I can solve problems with my creativity and use my hands. I want to make the world more colourful. I want to provoke emotions and challenge myself. I want to communicate stories and identity with impact. Even if it is like a pie in the face.

I specialise in both digital illustration and watercolour. My style is ever evolving, though it could best be described as having a cartoon quality. I am best friends with detail, I love exploring character, and I enjoy exaggerating movement, features, and themes.

I am open to all kinds of illustration work, including in the children’s book space, but also for merchandise, branding, editorial and other forms of commercial illustration.

I aim to deliver my best work to every client, bringing care, attention to detail and clear communication to every collaboration.
